Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Democrat leader, told participants during election rally at Wong Wian Yai yesterday he want to debate with the People Power party leader, Mr. Samak Sundaravej, on the talk show.

Mr. Abhisit has launched an aggressive confrontation with Mr. Samak towards general poll, accusing him of focusing more on an amnesty of 111 former Thai Rak Thai party executives than the interests of 62 million people.

He said but debate is unlikely, citing Mr. Samak’s announcement he doesn’t want to appear on the TV with Mr. Abhisit.

Both the leaders topped speculation as next PM, which each side claimed majority seats in the parliament in poll.

Mr. Samak gains slightly advantage at start by taking over former Mr. Thaksin supporters. Mr. Samak announced he is Mr. Thaksin’s nominee.

Mr. Abhisit also accused Mr. Samak of emotionally immature after he launched war of word with the media Sunday.
