In seeking to return to the top spot in smartphone market, Palm Inc introduces successor of its aging Treo series mobile handset with the all-new, sleek design Pre smartphone.

Aiming directly at Apple’s iPhone, Palm’s Pre comes with touch-screen and new operating system, the WebOS, which break new ground on fast web browsing and efficient multitasking.

However, the company’s said the Pre will not be an iPhone killer but allows it to get back in the game of the fierce smartphone battle.

The Pre features eight gigabytes of storage, GPS navigation capabilities, Wi-Fi networking, and slide-out keyboard and sophisticated touch-screen interface.
