Bangkok is on top of the world
Readers of the Singapore-base Travel + Leisure magazine has ranked Bangkok for this year’s the top place to visit of the world, accompanying Galapagos Island in Ecuador, which voted the best island in the world.
The magazine reader also voted Singita Sabin Sand hotel in Kruger National Park in South Africa the best hotel for 2008.
Editor-in-chief Nancy Novgorod has officially congratulated both Bangkok and Galapagos Island to be able to claim the top spots.
She said natural attractions and adventure are major factors that lure travelers to pick the place to visit.
The best city and island for 2007 are Florence and Bali, which land the fifth and second spots this year respectively.
