Bangkok free Wi-Fi Internet

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in cooperation with True Corporation Plc is offering free internet access at 15,000 Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the city and its outskirts.

The campaign is called “Green Bangkok Wi-Fi” and allows anyone with internet connecting devices free internet access.

However, speed is limited at 64kpbs—fast enough for P2P communication such as MSN chat and email checking but not for smooth Youtube videos viewing and listening to the internet radio.

Once getting connected, user will be redirected to the login page. Don’t worry if you don’t have username and password. Sign up is free; it only requires your identification number—the number of your I.D. card. Foreigners will need a free Wi-fi card. It is also free and variable at most tourist centers and department stores.
