AIRA Securities to list on SET

AIRA Securities Plc plans to switch market for an initial public offering of its shares from the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) as the company’s fundamentals meet the country’s major stock market’s requirements, acting managing director Supin Surawichai told reporters.

She said the listing processes will begin in November in order to assure that the company’s net profit reached the market’s requirement threshold.

“We expect an annual net between 40 million to 50 million baht for 2009, following the merger with a Japanese company,” Ms. Supin said.

AIRA aims capturing a market share of 2.34 percent for 2009, up 1.0 percent from a previous year through continuous customer seminars.

The company said it had booked over 50 foreign new customers into accounts with approximated investment fund of 250 million baht.

It hopes to register more than 200 foreign customers in 2010, or adding over 1.0 billion baht to trading fund consequently.
