Aapico ordered to trade on cash balance

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has warned trading involved with Aapico Hitech Plc. (AH) to be dealing on a cash balance basis, after a number of investors flocked for the stock.

The SET said AH has fallen into its Turnover List criteria as stock price of AH rose significantly fast.

According to the regulation, a company’s shares that are fallen into the list have to be trade on a cash balance basis, in order to prevent stock price manipulation and calm market sentimental.

Therefore, trading of Aapico shares from July 5 through 23 is not allowed using the brokerages’ margin account.
