Last week, I’ve joined a rider’s group of five, a pretty safety number, if not gangsters. They’ve arranged a trip to the southeast of the city. It’s a small trip for a small campaign to raise fund from members of the group for a charity. We decided to aid victims of earthquake in Haiti.

Actually, the fund raising activity’s was the group leader John’s idea. The sole purpose for the trip is a home stay. There’s a resort not very far from a beach, and it’s cheap.

According to its web site, there are nice spots for fishing, sightseeing, eat, drink and dance.

Since it’s not very far from home, we decided to travel light. John introduced to me a, for me, novelty toy for his cruiser motorcycle buddy, a deluxe cover for his Harley Davidson, Memphis—the CoverMax.

“What have you got here, John?” I asked him in the morning after a wake in tipsy and founded his cruiser buddy covered with a sheet. I can’t recall it how much I’d drink the night before. It’s fancy that John never forgets to look after his soul mate.

He said the cover sheet is very comfortable to carry around, as well as ease of use.

“You just fold it down, put it in the luggage box, unfold it and throw it over your cruiser,” he said.

The cruiser cover is absolutely something news I’ve learned from the trip, because I normally drive to work, not ride. As soon as we get back to the city, the first place I visited was a pro Yamaha cruiser motorcycle accessories shop and bought one of the CoverMax for my XV 650 Midnight Star.

The chubby shop keeper told me the accessory has been around for years. But for me, it’s absolutely a novel.
