Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) reported a 9.4 percent fall in quarterly net profit, much lower than expected, hurt by loss on assets value related to Lehman Brothers. Bangkok Bank (BBL) posted a smaller-than-expected 16 percent fall in the third quarter net profit on Monday, beating analysts’ forecasts, hurt by losses on an investment in Lehman Brothers bonds. BBL reported a quarterly net profit of 4.32 billion baht, or 2.26 baht per share, against 5.15 baht per share a year earlier.
