Time to learn and go with difficulty

I think it’s time that the government learns to run the country with people banging on the street calling for the parliament dissolution.

I understand that Mr. Samak wants a smooth administration, but should it be better that he forgets the old government administrative style and learn how to open his mind listening to voices from all sides.

Mr. Samak had showed it on Sunday when he called for a parliament meeting to solve the current political disordered.

Positively thinking, I can see many opportunities in crisis, as well as there are so many problems important than an attempt to keep mobs away.

Should the government just sit in relax and discuss. Maybe this should be the time to sell many state-run agencies in order to prevent future staffs’ protests.

Make money online is not a cake

If you think make money online is a piece of cake, think it again. Some veteran bloggers may claim and show (boast) their over-figure income they can earn each month from their blog, which are large enough to make you drooled with jealous and jumped into the bandwagon.

Rash jumping will only but makes them earned larger for you will visit their blogs more often, until you find your very niche.

Make money online can be achieved easily, but only if you know what are you really passion about, and are of others’ interest. And it is the case; you will end up with spending in years discovering until you finally know what your passion really is. And that you will be finally made lots of money from your websites.

I see many desperate rich wannabe housewives flocked into the blogsphere in hope to earn extra income to help relive their family’s burden. Since they are not expert in any field, they told their family stories and daily activities in hope to attract readers.

As far as I notice, popular bloggers write what people are interested such as how to make money online; how to make your website look good more attractive; how to add some functions into them; or given your opinions towards the public in the fields what involved in people’s daily life such as politics, new products release, cool gadgets, shopping, dieting, sports, movies, music, and the mother of all talks: celebrity gossip.

I am just starting earning a decent amount of money from the internet lately after three years on the quest for my passion. I wish I know what it is long before; for whence I know how to I never think I will make less.

So that mean find your niche and you’ll be start earning.

Congratulate Olympic hero Somjit Jongcohor

We congratulate our new Olympic hero Somjit Jongcohor, a gold medal winner of Beijing 2008’s flyweight 51kg boxing.

Somjit is a good specimen who never gives up until achieving his goal.

From a nobody in Thai boxing rink to amateur boxer, he waits for 12 years since turning national athlete to claim the title. His endurance paid off beautifully.

He’s real one of the rare ones who have very single mind in pursuing dream.

The death of Thai version

I have to kill the Thai version of my website because it hasn’t been updated for quite some time.

However, that wasn’t the actual reason, I could say. I still update the webboard forum daily and it delivers very useful messages that help investors make decision a lot easier.

Every party has the open-close time, I understand. But what make me feel depressed is because Google’s stupid spider indexed mostly pages of the Thai version of my website rather than the main index page, which I write in English. This cause it to lossing traffic which I should have gained from site search, as well as the opportunity to make money from sponsored posts.

Silom Journal forum launches Bloomberg’s hot stocks news updated

Starting from August 18, 2008, Silom Journal forum will add Thai hot stock news updated from Bloomberg to the existing selected streamed news of Reuters.

Visitors to the website now can gain better insight information from global leading financial analysts for their investment decision.

News Editor S.G. Thangs said it is pleasure to give investors broader information in all aspects of investment in Thailand, because Bloomberg is the world’s leading financial news agency with professional analysts keeping close watch on stock markets around the world.

Co-founder and chief executive Ket Nonting noted that Bloomberg has given deeper and faster data on individual share than its rivals. This can mean anything but only benefits investors to make decision easier on their money.

Second quarterly reports coming

The Stock Exchange of Thailand’s listed companies have begun reporting their quarterly results for April to July period.

Most companies, especially the big firms, energy firms in particular, are beating their previously earnings forecasts.

Each firm’s result will will be reported separately minute by minute under the Asides category on the main home page.

However, the Asides category will not be showing on the category list. You will need to click on the Archives page, click on one of the categories, such as Business, and replace business with asides (http://silomjournal.com/category/business/) on the address bar.

If that cuases difficulties, the second option to view the Asides category is clicking on the the month-list entries. To do that, click on the month and it would show all entries of the months including Asides category.

Money blogging pushes up more posts

Entering sponsored post market has forced me to crank out more posts on the home page. I don’t know whether this blogging activity is good for my site’s reputation. All I know is that Google bans it, and I don’t like visitors to think of my site negatively neither.

But what should I do, everyone just wants money. And that does not exclude me.

Daily Xpress cheats readers

Thailand’s English-language tabliod Daily Xpress (sorry no link here) has cheated its readers on Monday by displaying a picture of PAD’s largest rally at Siam Square in December 2006 on the front pages of its July 8, 2008 issue and on homepage of its website.

The young-generation-oriented newspaper has also convinced readers to believe that the PAD’s rally is as large as in the picture.

For me, this is an irresponsible and unethical journalism.

I love higher oil price

People have complained and some even protested about the higher cost of fuel.  But I feel differently, because higher gas prices have forced many vehicles off the road.

The good thing is I can wake up a bit late in the morning and get to work faster.
There isn’t too crowded road anymore.

From usually spending around two hours on the road from work to home, now I spend only half about it.

Some time I can see even a vacant street even in the busiest part of the city. With gas price staying above 40 baht per liter, the crowded is seemed to move from the road to public transportation.

Some funny is that once I have to sacrifice my seat to children, woman, and senior citizens, now that I have to sacrifice my standing spot to them too.
