SET mulls extending online trading hour

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is considering extending online stock trading time to be more flexible and complied with the global stock markets, board director Pattriya Benchapholchai said on Thursday.

Thai economy expanded at a satisfactory level in July despite continual decline in consumer spending and investments, the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) said on Friday.

Central bank raises rate to fight inflation

The Bank of Thailand raised its benchmark rate for a second straight month to 3.75 per cent on Wednesday in bid to tame fast increasing inflation in a decade.

Energy sets E85 price at 20.15 baht

The Energy Ministry has set a retail price for the E85 flex-fuel at 20.15 bath per liter, or 46 per cent lower than a regular gasoline.
As the result, the pump prices for the E85 ethanol will be sold at around 17.54 and 18.74 baht a liter cheaper than the premium benzene.
